LeMelle Christmas Party -2016

Every year my parents host a festive Christmas party in early December. Through the years the party has grown in size. People get married, have babies, sometimes get divorced, and then have more babies. In other words, the number of attendees has increased so much so that we no longer fit in my parent's home.  This is the first year we moved it to an outside location. The larger venue fit us perfect, but the closeness and intimacy of us being squeezed in the cozy, warm garage amongst family and friends wasn't there. Nonetheless, it was still so special to celebrate this month with my sweet cousins, aunts, uncles, and family friends.  That's what Christmas is all about... oh, and Uncle Vic's Gumbo too!
Merry Christmas from the LeMelle's and the Mejia's!!!

Side note: wish I took more pictures, but I was too busy running around being a social butterfly!

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas this year was amazing!!!! On Christmas Eve, we went to an evening church service which was indescribably great. Then off we were to Uncle Rigo's. But you'll never believe what happened later on that evening!

I'll tell you the story...

I hope your Christmas was as special as ours was. Now comes the NOT so fun part of taking down the decorations and disposing of the tree :(

Until....next year.

Cruisn' Katalina

I took the kids to the park the other day to take a Christmas photo for our 2011 Xmas cards. I got brave and took the dog too. And since I was taking the dog... why not take the cat?! If you're thinking of taking a cat to the park.... DON'T.

A Message from Santa

Don't be jealous, but Santa sent Meggie a message all the way from the North Pole. What's that? You want one of your own? Don't worry, he sends adults messages too! Click on Miguel's to see what he said. If you can't contain your jealousy anymore, make one of your own... follow the directions after watching the videos.

Our annual photo taken on the front lawn.

Couldn't decide which one I liked better, lol.

We spent the day swimming.

Wordless Wednesday

This should be a CRIME!!! If the suspect is a baby, is that forgivable? Will he still make it into heaven?

Forf of July

I got home from work (yes, I worked. How sad, huh?) to find the kids in the pool and daddy bbq'ing. After enjoying some burgers and hot dogs we munched on a few cupcakes for dessert, thanks to this lady
Megan enjoyed eating ONLY the icing
There's nothing like celebrating the birthday of our country in the company of good friends and a few fireworks.
And lucky for us, the sheriff deputy who came to reprimand us and to enforce the No Fireworks Rule had a soft spot in his heart for children and didn't want to ruin their fun.
Besides, who could say "NO Fireworks" to these two cuties?
This was Ben's first fourth of July. He didn't seem all that impressed with the fireworks; he fell asleep in his auntie's arms.
Thanks to the daddies for putting on the show.
